One Arrested in Huge Meth Bust

One man will appear in court Tuesday morning following a huge drug bust on the city's East Side.

A routine traffic stop along I-465 led Indianapolis police to what one officer called the largest amount of methamphetamine he's ever seen.

Police discovered 15 to 20 pounds of meth in a hidden compartment in the rear of a 1996 Cadillac. The estimated street value is anywhere from $800,000 to $1 million.

"Certainly being the crossroads of America you can get anywhere from here, and it's a good place to go to get from point to point. So they take advantage of us because of our location," said Detective Johnson with IPD.

Juan Quinones of Lincoln Town, North Carolina was arrested and will appear in court this morning.
